Mark Watson has been promoted to Finance Director of The Van
Horn Automotive Group. Mark has been with Van Horn since 2002 previously
working as finance manager at Joe Van Horn Chevrolet. Mark says he is most
looking forward to helping the stores grow and become more consistent with
processes and skillsets. Mark also enjoys being a part of a group that truly
cares about their craft and are always willing to learn. Mark is married to his
high school sweetheart Katharin, and they have two sons together; Luke and
Zack. When he is not at work, Mark enjoys golf, playing guitar, and spending
time with his family and their 6 pets.
Van Horn Automotive Joins Sheboygan County Rotary Members for Holiday Light Show
The four Sheboygan County Rotary
clubs came together for the Second Annual Making Spirits Bright light show at
Evergreen Park from November 29th to December 28th. Each
year, volunteers from the four Sheboygan County Rotary Clubs are called upon to
staff the event, with tasks ranging from food collection to greeting guests.
This year three Van Horn Employees participated in the Making Spirits bright
event. “They had us set up all over the park doing different things,” said
Kellyn Schneider, Special Finance Advisor at Joe Van Horn Chevrolet. “My
assignment was at the front gate greeting visitors. It was cold, but a lot of
fun.” The rotary does not charge for the event, but does ask that anyone who is
able, donate non-perishable food items. All donations benefit the Sheboygan
County Food Bank.
Van Horn Participates in Silent Auction to Help Fight Lyme Disease
Friends and Family of Plymouth Native Nathan Braatz will be holding a benefit brat fry in his honor Saturday January 18th at Amore. Van Horn Group and other area businesses have donated items for the silent auction that will take place that afternoon. All proceeds will benefit Nathan and his family, who have been fighting a battle with Late Stage Lyme Disease for six years. Please stop out and support a great cause!
Community Families Spend Time with Santa at Van Horn
No amount of snow could keep Plymouth area families from
visiting Santa on December 14th. From 10 am to noon Santa entertained
Plymouth’s children with his telling of The Polar Express at Joe Van
Horn Chevrolet. During their visit, children took pictures and shared their
wish lists with Santa, while snacking on milk and cookies. Each child was sent
home with a gift from Santa’s sack. Before heading out in his sleigh, Santa
visited dealership employees and helped them out with their daily duties. Check

Joe Van Horn Chevrolet Helps Stop Hunger This Holiday Season
From November 11th the 23rd, Joe Van
Horn Chevrolet participated in the first annual Hungry Games. Employees
competed to see which of the four company teams could bring in the most
non-perishable food. The competition was intense, but Team Teresa celebrated a
win with 263 items! All items donated totaled more than 700 making the Plymouth
Food Pantry the real winner. Thank you to all who participated!
Story Time with Santa Back at Van Horn
December 14, 2013 will mark the annual Story Time with Santa event at Joe Van Horn Chevrolet in Plymouth. Santa
will be reading The Polar Express and other holiday stories to area
children and their families. After the reading Santa will be taking pictures with
the children and handing out holiday treats. Visitors are welcome from 10 am
until noon and are encouraged to bring new mittens, hats and scarves to donate
to the Sheboygan County Salvation Army’s Christmas Giving Program.
Van Horn Hosts a Hat and Mitten Tree for Sheboygan County Salvation Army
November 25th
through December 16th Van Horn Chrysler and Joe Van Horn Chevrolet
will be hosting a Mitten tree. New mittens and hats for all ages are needed.
All donations will be given to the Sheboygan county Salvation Army to benefit
area families.
