Orion Energy Systems recently awarded the Van Horn Automotive Group for the power reducing energy improvements at their local dealerships.After switching out the old lighting systems for new energy-efficient instillations designed and manufactured by Orion Energy Systems, Van Horn was able to reduce their power and pollutant output.
“We are thrilled to be recognized with this award,” said Teresa Van Horn, owner of Joe Van Horn Chevrolet. “Our dealerships are aware of the amount of energy we use annually, and we are always looking for ways to minimize our environmental impact.”
Collectively, the company’s dealerships will reduce power output by more than 417,795 kWh per year, and avoid releasing 255 tons of airborne pollutants. This equates to more than 78 acres of tree planted annually!
Van Horn recognizes the influence their energy and environmental output can have on the community. The list of things they have done, and continue to improve on, range from in-store recycling bins to the new and improved lighting systems.
