H. May Environmental Park (Maywood) provides environmental education and
recreation opportunities to over 20,000 school children, families and adults
each year. Maywood fulfills its goal of “promoting environmental
stewardship through real life experiences” by offering a wide variety
school tours, family programs, natural history programs, and special
events.
The
Maywood Earth Ride a bicycling tour, not a race or competition. The ride
is a chance to enjoy the great outdoors, and see wild life such as wild
turkeys, deer, and pheasants!
There are fun stops at the fire station (including a tour), and the Bullitz Farm and Petting Zoo (where you can stop to feed the animals!). There are five different scenic routes, including a 12, 25, 50, 75, and 100 mile tour to suit any rider.

Several Van Horn team members are avid cyclists who have participated in the Earth Ride in the past and plan on doing so again this year! Register now to join them!
